Android gamers rejoice, as PopCap games have finally released Plants vs. Zombies 2 on to the Google Play. Originally released for iOS versions,  Plants vs. Zombies 2 was rumored to be an Apple exclusive for six months and that the Cupertino company paid EA/PopCap to do so. The statement was leaked during a meeting in which PopCap said it was taken out of context that lead many people believing this has happened. Regardless with the rumor if it is true or not, the game is now available on Google Play.

Plants vs. Zombies 2 is a sequel from the highly anticipated game. The latter still has the same features that made the original a success and has added some new gameplay elements to keep it interesting for many gamers. New features include different types of plants that you can utilize in order to stop a horde of zombies coming at you. Additionally, there is a so called “Finger Powers” that you can use like pinch, flick and zap zombies with the touch of your hands.

There is also a Piñata Party mini game to win prizes.  Also, if you are able to gather enough keys, you can play valuable side missions as well as purchase new potent power-ups.  Lastly, new themed locations are available like Ancient Egypt just to name a few.

Plants vs. Zombies 2 is available for download at the Google Play for free and does include IAPs.  You can download Plants vs. Zombies 2 (North America) | Plants vs. Zombies 2 (International).
