Square Enix Announces Final Fantasy VI This Coming Winter for Android
Yesterday we talked about Square Enix of brining Dragon Quest for Android. This time around, more news have surfaced that Final Fantasy Vi is also coming to Android this coming Winter season with more other titles in the wraps. While it hasn’t been confirm yet that Dragon Quest 1-8 will soon roll out for Western countries, but it s mostly likely that Final Fantasy games will be released.

have just announced that Final Fanasy VI will be heading for both Android and iOS this coming Winter. Instead of being a straight port from the original title way back in 1994, it will be a new version that is heavily modified with new enhancements when it comes to combat.
The battle systems have been altered for the other [mobile remakes] for Final Fantasy and VI will be the same. For instance grinding was an issue and people had to spend a lot of time leveling up. Now on the mobile devices the battle systems have been adjusted so you don’t have to fight as much and can enjoy the game for what it is. – director and producer Takashi Tokita
Final Fantasy VI will still feature 2D graphics but will be optimized for mobile devices. The announcement to a surprise as the company is also planning a remake with Final Fantasy IV which is officially called Final Fantasy IV: The After Years which is planned to be released this year in full 3D.
